Terms of use

Last updated 1 August 2026.

Agreement

By creating an account or using XALKAAB, you agree to these terms. If you use the service on behalf of a shop or company, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity.

The service

XALKAAB is software for point of sale, inventory, and related shop operations for Ethiopian retailers. Features and plan limits are described in the product and may change. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

Accounts

You are responsible for your login credentials, for staff you invite, and for activity under your tenant. Keep contact email current. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, attempt to break security, or violate the law.

Plans and fees

Free and paid plans, trial lengths, and mobile-money service charges are set in the live plan catalogue. Fees for phone payments apply only when those payments succeed through supported providers. Taxes may apply where required.

Your data

You own the operational data you enter. You grant us a licence to host, process, and analyse it to provide the service, improve the product, run analytics, and — in aggregated or anonymized form — for market research and study of the Ethiopian retail market. Details are in our privacy policy .

Acceptable use

Do not use XALKAAB for unlawful activity, to infringe others’ rights, to probe or disrupt the service, or to resell access without our written consent.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties and limit liability for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms. Provisions that should survive (including liability limits) continue after termination.
